Families Helping Families
If you or someone you know has lost a loved one and is grieving, Families Helping Families (FHF) can help. FHF provides comprehensive support services to bereaved families, individuals, and communities who have experienced the loss of a loved one.
Meeting the Need for Grief Support
FHF provides services to help families in the hours, weeks and months after losing a loved one. Some of grief’s darkest, most difficult moments occur as supportive family and friends are returning to their own lives. The shock of the loss begins to wear off and reality sets in.
Families need continued support and find it from other families suffering comparable losses. FHF’s many programs provide a safe place for families to come together and receive the help they need to go on.
FHF provides support groups to individuals and families, provides community education, and offers support and education for the workplace and the classroom.
What’s Unique About Families Helping Families?
Our FHF staff members are trained bereavement facilitators, many of whom have a personal loss. Services are provided at no cost to families in all parts of the community. FHF takes a practical, non-pathological approach to supporting people in grief. Learn more about Our Approach and Our Core Values.
Hope Loves Company
“Hope Loves Company” was adopted as our FHF slogan. The support of others who have suffered comparable losses is a key to healing grief. FHF is a community of hope and healing. Family members are provided resources to survive, to hopefully, one day, find some measure of peace and to honor the one they have lost in the way they live on.
