Families Helping Families (FHF) has developed a network of relationships in the grief support community. In the event that we can not provide service to you directly, our extensive list of referrals may be able to provide you the right support locally.

CDC Disaster Mental Health Resources- The effects of a Hurricane Katrina will be long-lasting and the resulting trauma can reverberate even with those not directly affected by the disaster. This page includes information on general strategies for promoting mental health and resilience that have been developed by various organizations based on experiences in prior disasters. While each individual is affected differently by a disaster, certain groups may share common experiences.

GriefNet- Griefnet:GriefNet is an Internet community of persons dealing with grief, death, and major loss. We have 37 email support groups and two web sites. Our integrated approach to on line grief support provides help to people working through loss and grief issues of all kinds. Our companion site, KIDSAID, provides a safe environment for kids and their parents to find information and ask questions

Growth House – This award-winning web site is your international gateway to resources for life-threatening illness and end of life care. Our primary mission is to improve the quality of compassionate care for people who are dying through public education and global professional collaboration. A giant site with many resources and links for the bereaved.
Hospice Net -Article on grief and entry to a number of well written related cyber pamphlets.
Journey of Hearts- This website is the creation of a physician with contributions from many colleagues, friends, and website visitors. It is the combined effort of those who have experienced many different types of losses….This website is designed to be a place for resources and support to help those in the grief process following a loss or a significant life change.
Lifekeeper Foundation- The Lifekeeper Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was formed in 1995 to promote suicide awareness, education, and prevention through art forms such as Lifekeeper Jewelry, Poetry, and the Lifekeeper National Memory Quilt project.
Suicide and Mental Health Association International- SMHAI is dedicated to suicide and mental health related issues. Main goal is to prevent suicidal behavior and to relieve its effects on all who maybe affected by it. This site offers resources and publications for survivors of suicide.
Survivors of Violent Loss – The Survivors of Violent Loss Network is an online support service for anyone who has suffered from, and/or works with violent death loss. We hope you will find us a resource to help establish similar services in your community.
Sympathy Sharing Site – We are a worldwide compendium where written greetings and tributes can be shared in the ‘Quaker Style’ at your leisure. Also available is a free open forum where feelings can be shared. Listings of memorialized loved ones which can include photos
are displayed at this site.
Webhealing – This page is meant to be a place men and women can discuss , (main, child-loss, siblings ) , chat, or simply browse to understand and honor the many different paths to heal strong emotions. A large, well organized site with lots of resources and links.

Yahoo! Mental Health Directory – Yahoo’s bereavement portal. Many links to different kinds of grief and resources.
Bereaved Families Online Support Center – A large site from Ontario Canada for grieving families (usually child death). Lots of resources.
Bereaved Parents of the USA – Bereaved Parents of the USA (BP/USA) is a national non-profit self-help group that offers support, understanding, compassion and hope to bereaved parents, grandparents and siblings struggling to rebuild their lives after the death of their children, grandchildren or siblings.
Ethan’s house – Welcome to Ethan’s House, the online home to bereaved parents and their families. When our children die we are bereft, alone, and need a community of other bereaved to share common emotions, experiences, and above all, a place to share our children.
Healing Heart – Dedicated to providing grief support and services to parents who are suffering as the result of the death of their child or children. The volunteers at HEALING HEARTS are here to help.
MISS – MISS is a nonprofit, volunteer based organization committed to providing emergency support to parents after the death of their baby; stillbirth, neonatal death, premature birth, congenital anomalies, SIDS, and any child’s death.

The Compassionate Friends – The mission of The Compassionate Friends is to assist families in the positive resolution of grief following the death of a child and to provide information to help others be supportive.
Children
Comfort Zone Camp – a unique weekend long camp based program for children and teens who have suffered the loss of a parent, sibling, or significant person in their life. Services are provided at no cost to participants. Located in Richmond, VA and serving youth nationally and internationally.
Houston’s Aid in Neonatal Death – We are a Houston based pregnancy and infant loss support group for parents whose babies have died any time from conception through late infancy. Our mission is to help parents cope with feelings of grief and isolation which accompany the loss of a baby.
KIDSAID – KIDSAID is a safe place for kids to share and to help each other deal with grief about any of their losses. It’s a place to share and deal with feelings, to show artwork and stories, to talk about pets, to meet with one’s peers.
Teens
Beyond Indigo – Welcome to Teens Only! This forum is created by teens for teens and contains everything you could ask for in a site. From articles on coping with loss, to games and interactive chat and message boards!
