Jan 9: “Healing Grief & Trauma with Alternative Healing Modalities” 6:30-8:30
Deb Davis, a Holistic Health Practitioner, Acupuncturist and Dr. Brian Garrett chiropractor that practices a variety of complementary modalities will share some of the complementary ways that we can support ourselves during the grieving process.
March 5: “Reconnecting With Your Loved One” 6:30-8:30
Psychic Medium Hollister Rand will share with us the many ways that we can stay emotionally and spiritually connected to our children and loved ones who have passed.
April 16: “Keeping Your Marriage Alive After the Loss of a Child” 6:30-8:00
Experiencing the “worst loss” can be hard on even the best relationships. Join us as Dr. David Wexler of The Relationship Institute shares with us how couples can keep their relationships alive, vital and purposeful after the loss of a child.
May 21: “How EMDR Helps with the Trauma of Losing a Child” 6:30-8:00
The focus of EMDR is the resolution of emotional distress arising from a traumatic experience. Bereaved parent and therapist Peggy Macy LCSW with share how this unique and effective modality can support the traumatic experience of losing a child.
June 18: “Yoga for the Grieving Heart” 6:30-8:30
Yoga is a practice that offers gentle support to the body, mind and soul. Join Yoganic Studio’s Skyler Myers for an experiential evening program designed specifically for bereaved parents.
July 16: “A Light Hearted Evening at Petco Park” 7:00pm
Through the generous donation of San Diego’s home team the Padres we have the opportunity to come together as a community for a light hearted evening at the game!
August 20: “How Meditation Helps us Survive the Loss of a Child” 6:30-8:30
Join Zen Center of San Diego teacher Elizabeth Hamilton for an experiential evening where we will explore how the ancient practice of meditation can help us deal with the pain, anguish and suffering associated with losing a child.
Sept 17: “Parenting Surviving Children” 6:30-8:30
Parenting surviving children can be a challenge, especially when you are trying to get a handle on your own grief. Join FHF Staff Psychologist Dr. Lori Rappaport for a workshop on how we can best support the healing of bereaved siblings as they cope with loss.
Oct 15: “An Evening of Hope & Healing Grief—Getting Through the Holidays” 6:30-8:00
